Former Punjab and Haryana high court Judge Nirmal Yadav faces trial in the infamous 2008 cash-at-judge's door scam after a special CBI court in Chandigarh on Saturday framed charges against her in the case.
The quantum of punishment will be announced later on Monday.
The court also directed that police officers, who were earlier appointed as nodal officers to deal with incidents of mob lynching, would be now responsible to deal with cases of alleged assault on Kashmiris.
Incidents of arson, firing and vandalism were reported from Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Punjab as protesters agitated against the dilution of the SC/ST Act.
